MORRISVILLE — Vera Jones has been promoted to chief operating officer at Copley Hospital.
She has served as the hospital’s vice president of operations for the past 16 months. As COO, Jones is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hospital.
“Vera’s leadership and dedication to our patients, staff and community has been outstanding,” said hospital President and CEO Art Mathisen. “As her responsibilities expanded over the last year, she has essentially been performing the role of COO.”
Jones’ history with Copley Hospital dates back to 2008, when she served as a consultant for special projects. She returned in 2015, dividing her time between Copley and Gifford Medical Center, serving as interim vice president of physician practices. In June 2016, Jones joined Copley full-time.
Jones lives in Morrisville.
