BARRE — Linda Hogan has joined the staff at Barre Area Senior Center as program and volunteer coordinator.
“The Barre Area Senior Center is already a vital place, and we want to expand on our heritage. Linda’s extensive involvement in the community, her dedication to the arts and her previous engagement with the elder population will be instrumental in growing our community at BASC,” said Executive Director Mary Rose Dougherty.
Hogan has lived in the area since 1971 and has been active in the community as a teacher, print and on-air personality, writer and visual artist. She currently teaches digital photography at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center, serves as the president of the Arts Resource Association, and is curator for the art exhibits at Capitol Grounds in Montpelier. Linda’s experience with the elder population includes her past work as activity director at Heaton Woods and in private caregiving. She holds an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
